I was glad to receive your letter of 31st March

and your assurwice that the passage to which I objected

in your previona dospatch was not intended in the sense

in shich it was read by everyone here. The incident

may now bo considered as closed and I am substituting the

despatch enclosed in your letter for the origial despatch

of 17th January. I encload herewith despatches which

may be substituted for my confidential and secret

despatches of 28th February.
